PRESS RELEASE: Spokane, WA - March 5th, 2013 The Spokane Food Allergy Support Network (SpokaneFASN) will be merging with Team Anaphylaxis on Wednesday March 6th, 2013. The newly formed group will be called Team Anaphylaxis. Spokane, WA hosts the main office for Team Anaphylaxis - which was founded in 2011. SpokaneFASN has been serving the Spokane community since 2009 by offering educational trainings, food free events, and support for children and families managing food allergies and anaphylaxis. These supportive services will not change and will still be provided to the local community and surrounding areas. Team Anaphylaxis is a grassroots group of experienced parent advocates. The team is committed to educating the public about food allergies and anaphylaxis, a life threatening and legally recognized disability. They equip, empower and support parents with the tools and resources necessary for the successful management of this highly complex, chronic health condition. They seek to promote the fair treatment and inclusion of all individuals. Team Anaphylaxis believes food free classrooms provide the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) to ensure a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Team Anaphylaxis has two other offices located in California and Indiana. The merge will prove to be a great benefit for those living locally in Spokane and Idaho by offering residents the services and support from a National group well known for its persistent advocacy efforts and accomplishments since its inception.
