Press Release: Spokane, WA 11/19/11 Spokane Food Allergy Support Network launches a new global educational advocacy team called Team Anaphylaxis! Education and Advocacy Team revolutionizing the way people perceive and understand anaphylaxis. The team is comprised of a group of select individuals who are strong advocates and educators across the world who manage anaphylaxis as a medical disability on a daily basis, who know how to treat an anaphylactic reaction, and are dedicated to teaching others how to save lives. The team focuses on making a difference by increasing awareness about anaphylaxis, teaching increased safety skills regarding this life threatening medical disability, and working toward improving the fair treatment and inclusion for those diagnosed. The team is not a group of medical experts rather people genuinely interested in sharing their expert knowledge from personal experience; always consult a physician for medical advice pertaining to your particular situation. Mission Statement of SpokaneFASN: The Spokane Food Allergy Support Network focuses on promoting awareness through education in the community regarding food allergies/allergies by doing the following:
We strive to teach children and others diagnosed with allergies that they are not alienated with their condition and the necessary accommodations for them are possible to implement so they can manage and lead a happy and healthy life. We are a local grassroots community organization increasing awareness regarding food allergies and anaphylaxis. |
